Claudio Ranieri and Ray Wilkins have emerged as possible candidates for the vacant manager position at West Brom
Ranieri: Linked with Albion vacancy
With speculation rife as to who will take charge following Roy Hodgson's departure, Birmingham's Chris Hughton immediately emerged as the frontrunner.
But 60-year-old Ranieri has become a serious contender after meeting Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace and sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth for a second round of talks on Thursday.
The former Chelsea manager, who has been out of work since March after being dismissed by Inter Milan, could make his first top flight return since 2004 after being replaced by Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Ray Wilkins has appeared as a shock candidate for the position after holding talks with the West Brom hierarchy.
The former Chelsea assistant and current Sky Sports pundit could be in the running for the job following Peace's latest talks in London, with the Baggies looking poised to make a decision imminently.
