Rosicky makes cut with Czechs World Soccer Shop

Tomas Rosicky has been included in the Czech Republic's final 23-man squad for Euro 2012 despite concerns over the midfielder's fitness.

Rosicky: Going to the Euros

The Arsenal man was struggling with a calf injury, but Czech Republic coach Michal Bilek has given Rosicky the green light to travel to the finals.

Bilek has also axed FK Teplice goalkeeper Tomas Grigar from his 24-man draft selection, while Vladimir Darida had already replaced Daniel Pudil after impressing in Saturday's 2-1 win against Israel.

The Czechs meet Hungary in Prague on Friday ahead of their opening Group A game against Russia in Wroclaw on 8 June.

"It was not pleasant, especially for the withdrawn players," Bilek told UEFA's Euro 2012 website."During the last week the fitness of Rosicky made things more complicated as he was not 100 per cent.

"Ideally we would play our strongest possible starting line-up (for Friday's friendly against Hungary]) but in this case the most important thing is that Tomas is fit and ready for the first game at Euros."

Czech Republic squad: Goalkeepers: Petr Cech (Chelsea), Jaroslav Drobny (Hamburg), Jan Lastuvka (Dnipro).
